Hello, my name is Kacie.
I am a freshman at ASU studying business. I love helping others and sharing knowledge through fun, unique, and creative activities! I enjoy doing many things including reading, writing, drawing, painting, and many more! I am a strong believer that we can be successful while having fun!
The goal of this game is to strengthen students’ writing skills in a fun way! The student is given a chance to participate in a very fun game that challenges their writing knowledge. They won’t even notice that they are learning.
This will meet the Arizona Common Core standard (6.W.5) , by teaching students to, with some guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach. (Editing for conventions should demonstrate command of Language standards 1–3 up to and including grade 6.)
What you will need:
● Provided template
● Piece of cardboard
● Clear tape
● Glue
● Scissors
● String/yarn ● Pencil

5. Place your writing station on the other side of the room.
- You should have a pencil, and paper.
Game Rules
- The rules are pretty simple, make sure you have at two players and one adult to play.
- The players will begin by going to their station.
- Once everyone is at their station the adult will set off a 2-minute timer so that the players can go to the “market” station and pick out their ingredients (challenges).
- Once the timer is off the students must proceed back to their station.
- Once at the station the students will have 30 minutes to come up with a delicious dish(story).
- Once the thirty minutes are up the adult will read through everyone’s story and assign a winner.
- Once a winner is assigned the rest of the players have a chance to read each other’s stories and help each other out with constructive criticism.

You should have a fun reusable game to help students strengthen their writing skills.
